FAQ
When do you arrive and how long do you stay?
The goal is to arrive during active labour and the key to this is communication. Letting me know when early labour has begun and how it is progressing will help me to gauge when it’s time to make my way to you. 2 hours postpartum is usually enough time to capture all those new baby moments like first latch and exam.
Is it okay if I don’t want graphic images?
Of course! Before the big day we will discuss what your preferences are and if that’s above the waist only I will happily honour your request for modesty.
What if you miss the birth?
Although I will make every effort to arrive in time to capture your entire story there is a small chance that I could miss your birth, it’s simply unpredictable. In the event that this happens I will still come to you and tell as much of your story as I can, staying longer or if needed coming back the following day for a fresh 48 to deliver the same amount of images that a longer labour would have allowed for.
Do you share on social media?
Birth is beautiful and empowering. I love that by sharing through social media birth becomes a little more normalized, birth photography is a wonderful educational tool to help women really understand the power of their bodies and overcome fears surrounding birth. However, I wholeheartedly respect the wish to keep birth images private and this is something that we discuss and establish during the booking process.
Do you offer payment plans?
Absolutely! Birth photography is definitely an investment and I am more than happy to discuss a plan that works within your budget. The earlier the booking the easier it is to create a bite sized payment plan. If the total is not payed before baby arrives this will result in the delay of image delivery. Once all payments are made images will be released.
